Jill Michaux: Topeka, Kansas, United States; JILL A. MICHAUX has helped several thousand individuals and small business proprietors get much needed debt relief in her 26-year legal career. She and Mark W. Neis, are Topeka’s only board certified consumer bankruptcy law specialists. They are partners in the Bankruptcy Law Office of Neis & Michaux, P.A., Topeka, Kansas. Since the late 1980s, Jill does consumer bankruptcy work for individual and small business debtors almost exclusively. She was the first Kansas attorney to be board certified in consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification and one of ten Kansas attorneys so certified today. She does not represent institutional creditors. She advocates for the rights of consumer debtors as a charter member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She served on the NACBA board of directors the first seven years and remains active today in committee work.
